🎶It’s Friday, Friday. Gotta get down on Friday🎶
I can’t believe January is almost over! Just one more week and we’ll be at the tail end. January is the month that we start committing to health and fitness and hopefully create habits that will last all year.
I have partnered up with Hedstrom Fitness to bring you some challenging workouts to set you on the right path this year. Exercise not only helps shed those pounds but it also is great for your health, confidence, and overall well being.
Today’s Friday Five Moves are done with the Surge® and Kamagon®. Both use water to create dynamic fluid resistance and an unstable environment, which cause your muscles to work harder to keep your form. Use no water, some water, or fill it all the way up, it’s your choice. You create how much resistance that you want to use. Ready to get HIIT with me?
GET HIIT WITH ME 30 MIN WORKOUT
For this workout you will need some added weight for the toning exercises (The Surge®, Kamagon®, or Dumbells). Use a weight that challenges you and feel free to drop down to lower weights when you can no longer keep your form. This will help reduce any chances of injury.
The Five Moves:
- Jump Squats
- Side Lunges
- Tricep Extensions
- Russian Twists
- Side Planks
Do move for 1:00 minute and rest for 30 seconds. Complete the routine 4 times through.
Keep feet shoulder width apart. Jump up pushing through your legs and then landing softly on your feet. Be sure to always keep those knees behind your toes.
ALTERNATING SIDE LUNGES
Step out to the side into a lunge. Keep weight in heels and sit back into the lunge. Come up and repeat on the other side.
With weight overhead, extend your arm back to work your triceps.
With your body in a 45 degree angle twist your torso side to side. Keep your core engaged. You can do this with your feet on the ground or for more of a challenge keep your feet up.
Lying on your side, stack your feet on top of each other. Rise up on your forearm with your other arm extended overhead or on your hip. Hold position for 30 seconds and then switch sides for 30 more seconds.
Let me know how this workout went for you!
Did you find it too easy, too difficult, or just right? Let me know! 🙂
