Recently I’ve been cleaning up my makeup products. I’ve never been one to wear a ton of makeup and I like the natural looks. However, I do love how makeup makes me feel. You can go from not feeling your best to radiating with confidence in less than an hour.
I prefer quality over quantity and that’s what motivated me to clear out a lot of my drugstore makeup. I’m not completely non-toxic with my beauty routine but I have managed to be completely paraben-free. Hey, I’m making progress right? 🙂
I believe life is about balance and I know that chemicals in makeup can be harmful to your body. But as long as you are conscious about it and make an effort to use cleaner options, I think that’s what matters.
If you want to learn more about cosmetic dangers I recommend this book “Drop Dead Gorgeous: Protecting Yourself from Hidden Dangers of Cosmetics.”

I’ve been using 100% Pure for about a year now. They are my #1 go to green beauty brand. I love that all their products are natural and non-toxic. Another feature I love is that most of their products smell ah-mazing!
I needed a hair product to hydrate my hair and prevent split ends, which I’ve been getting a lot of lately. This hair serum is just perfect. It’s a bit tacky at first so I would recommended you put it on wet/damp hair. Once it dries your hair is less frizzy and super soft.
This stuff is the holy grail of eye cream! It smells like dessert and works magic. When I don’t get enough sleep or too much sleep you can see it in my eyes. It’s always in the eyes! Adding just a couple of dots of the Coffee Bean Caffeine eye cream brightens any dark circles and de-puffs my eyes to make me look rejuvenated. The full size is $25 or you can get the sample size for $15.
I’ve been using their BB cream and it is great for days where I want to wear little to no makeup. This Bamboo Blur Tinted Moisturizer gives me a little extra. You can build it up if you want more of a full coverage and it’s very hydrating. If you do tend to have dry skin I would add your moisturizer first with a couple of drops of Dragon’s Blood Hylaronic Shot by Nip + Fab.
Next step to added a perfect finish to the Bamboo Blur Tinted Moisturizer is adding the Bamboo Blur Powder. This blurs out any imperfection and covers pores and fine lines. If you tend to get that afternoon shine then I would really recommend this product.
5. Long Last Brows: Soft Brown
I’ve been using e.l.f. studio eyebrow kit forever! It was a cheap option when I was in college and on a budget. But it contains parabens and other toxic ingredients. This is where you get what you pay for comes in.
I’ve updated most of my beauty products and an eyebrow product was the last on my list. That’s why I purchased Long Last Brows. Of course right after I purchased this they came out with Green Tea Fiber Brow Builder! I was so sad because this looks a little easier to use because you just brush it in. Eyebrows are not something i’m great at doing but I guess practice makes perfect.
6. Fruit Pigmented Eye Shadow: Bronze Gold
The one issue I have with 100% pure is that I wish they had more eye shadow pallets. Particularly neutral colors. I received this beautiful pallete by PURE Cosmetics in my winter FabFitFun box. It is paraben free which is awesome and the pigment is amazing. This is what I wish 100% Pure would make! 🙂
I love 100% Pure and I wanted a gold eye shadow to go along with my star bright eye shadow color. It’s a beautiful shade of gold and you can wet the color for even more pigment.
7. Gemmed Luminizer: Rose Gold
I saved the best for last of my 100% Pure haul! This luminizer came out a couple months ago and I wanted it sooooo bad. So I finally purchased it in the shade rose gold.
Doesn’t it have such a pretty glow? I love it so much and it’s one of my favorites to use. Plus a little goes a long way and I have a feeling this will be lasting a while.
If you got to the end of this post thank you for sticking around! haha. I love to go into detail about each product instead of a list. I hope you enjoyed this and I hope you get to try out 100% Pure for yourself soon. You won’t be disappointed.
