3 easy classic appetizer recipes

Tis’ the season for holiday parties and gatherings. It’s the time of the year where we come together with family and friends and enjoy good food and company. When it comes to cooking for a group of people I like to choose simple but tasty foods that are on the healthier side. Going beyond the chips and dip can be challenging if cooking isn’t your forte. That is why today I give you three ridiculously easy classic appetizer recipes that will impress your guests.

When I say easy, I mean it. GOODFOODS help take the guess work out of appetizers. Adding their guacs and dips to recipes adds a whole lot of flavor because their products are made from real ingredients. GOODFOODS is all about quality nutrition and taste and their products are never made with artificial ingredients, flavors, or preservatives.

BLACK BEAN LETTUCE WRAPS

I love a good lettuce wrap. They are yummy and can be filled with just about anything. It’s a healthy alternative to chips and dip and take a couple of minutes to whip up.

Using GOODFOODS Tableside® Chunky Guacamole adds so much goodness to this simple appetizer. Beans, guac, and pico de gallo added to a romaine lettuce leaf is all there is to it. I found all my ingredients at my local Sprouts Farmers Market (find GOODFOODS near you).

So…I’m slightly obsessed with spicy flavor and peppers. It could be the hispanic side of me. Actually, I’m pretty sure that explains my love for spicy foods. So when I found the GOODFOODS Artichoke Jalapeño Dip at Sprouts I almost jumped for joy. Even the sweet woman at sprouts who helped me find the  GOODFOODS Tableside® Chunky Guacamole said that it was really good and her favorite. After that I really had to try it.

What better way to stuff jalapeños and mushrooms with savory artichokes, spicy jalapeño peppers, and monterey jack cheese in a greek yogurt blend. This stuff is so good ya’ll! Like really good!

Ready for the no brainer recipe?

Preheat oven to 450°. Halve and deseed your peppers. Pull the stem off of  your portobello mushrooms. Spoon GOODFOODS Artichoke Jalapeño Dip into them. Stick them in the oven for 15 mins and voila! Jalapeño poppers and stuffed mushrooms the easy way.

I told you that would be easy! Right? Whether you’re having a family gathering or a “friendsgiving” party, these appetizers will be a hit.

If you want to check out GOODFOODS Guac and Dips for yourself you can use the store locator to find it near you
