Mornings are hard enough as they are, and not being prepared can leave you feeling frazilled before you even set food out of the door. Often times we, non-morning girls, don’t even have time to eat breakfast and that is not healthy. Having a healthy breakfast in the morning gives you energy to take on the day and helps boost your metabolism. The past 6 months I’ve made a very good effort at preparing breakfast ahead of time or having quick breakfast ideas that take less than 10 mins. I want to share my favorite 5 quick and healthy breakfast ideas for girls that just don’t have time in the morning.
1. Cereal Bars
Breakfast bars a the quickest way to eat breakfast! Grab and go! If you have no time at all these Quest Beyond Cereal Bars are the perfect breakfast for you girl! I love these cereal bars because they are different. These are made with protein not grains but still has the crunch of a junk food cereal bar.
Quest Beyond Cereal Bars come in three flavors: Chocolate, Waffle, and Cinnamon Roll. Might I just add that they taste freakin’ amazing. I think the waffle one is my favorite. It taste just like a waffle with all it’s goodness.
You can pick these up at your local Vitamin Shoppe and found in the same section as all Quest protein bars are in.
2. Overnight Oats
I love overnight oats! They are so easy to make and full of fiber, protein, and goodness. The perk about overnight oats is just that, you have to leave them overnight in the refrigerator. They are ready in the morning to grab and go and you can make as many servings as you want for the week.
3. Avocado Toast
Avocado toast is the perfect way to get some healthy fats into your body. I love topping mine with 1/2 cup of egg whites or 1 egg over hard. Try this one by Gimme Delicious for a spicy kick.
4. Protein Smoothie
Smoothies are quick, easy to make and have endless combinations. You can whip up an amazing protein packed smoothie in less than 5 mins. My favorite protein add-ins are Amazing Grass Protein Superfood and IdealFit Protein.
5. Nut Butter Toast
Nut butters are another healthy fat that are perfect for a quick breakfast. I love this one by Well Plated! It’s honey bannana topped with granola. Create your own by adding different fruit, chia seeds, cacao nibs, and your choice of nut butter. 🙂
I hope these 5 quick and easy breakfast ideas help you have a healthier morning even if you aren’t a morning person.
