Easy Brown Sugar and Garlic Chicken

Chicken collage wordsFinding recipes that are easy to make for the week are a struggle sometimes. You don’t want to constantly eat the same thing week after week nor do you want to spend hours cooking. For my little family, we have little time in the evening to get dinner going, do homework, and find time to spend with each other. Andrew and I work full time and don’t get home until 4:30 or so. We pick up C from her after school care and then it’s go go go until 8. Who can relate? I’m sure a lot of you.

I like to cook chicken and fish most days because it’s easy to make but it gets a little boring after a while. I was on the search for some new flavors for our plain chicken and I stumbled upon this recipe. Jackpot!! What is there to lose when garlic and sugar is involved!? Nothing if you ask me {coming from a die hard garlic lover}. 

So here ya’ll go! An Easy Brown Sugar and Garlic Chicken recipe that will never get old in my opinion. I don’t know how I’ve been living life without this in it! haha 😉  

The steps are super easy.

  1. Add your oil and garlic together until fragrant
  2. Add your brown sugar until liquid form. 
  3. Add any additional spices. I added Garlic Lovers {because I am one} by a company I love called Flavor God. They are vegan and no MSG, GMO, or preservatives added. Bonus they are low in sodium and I mean low. 
  4. Brush mixture onto your chicken breast. 
  5. Bake at 450° for 20 mins or more depending on breast size.

Now tell me that wasn’t easy? It took me under 10 mins to do. Yay under 10 mins!!! 😀 This makes me a happy camper cooker. 

So much that I had to take this extremely flattering selfie with my Turbie Twist. haha Now the bake and wait.
