I love a good hike and I also love refueling mid hike and after my hike with good snacks. This is 100% essential especially if it’s more than a couple of miles.
Hiking is an endurance activity so properly fueling is very very important. You lose a lot of nutrients when walking for hours on end like sodium, potassium, and carbs. Your muscle is also breaking down in your legs so getting in a good amount of protein will also help keep your body happy.
So what snacks should you pack for hiking? Well first up we’re hitting the protein hard.

Bold Bites are perfect for any to-go snack situation. They are perfect for a quick post workout snack, running errands snack, or a healthy in the office snack. I also love adding these to salad kits that don’t come with protein. It’s a great addition and adds a bold flavor.
