Giving the Gift that Matters & Giving Back to Youth Sports(+Giveaway)

The holiday season is in full effect and if you haven’t started your shopping, like me, then you’re probably starting to panic a little. My little family is very active and outdoorsy, that’s why I chose DICK’s Sporting Goods as my starting point for holiday shopping. It has a ton of variety for everyone in the family. From workout apparel to fitness and games, you can give the gift of health and fitness, gifts that matter.

DICK’s Sporting Goods is very easy to navigate and organized. I browsed around looking for special gifts for my loved ones. To my surprise, there were a ton of sales going on that I couldn’t pass up. Reebok was on sale from 25-50 percent off which is amazing because their prices are reasonable to begin with. I’m a huge bargain shopper and hate paying full price for anything 😉 . I always wait for deals and coupons. So to find deals during the holiday season was such a surprise. DICK’s Sporting Goods also had a ton of stuff in the clearance section. Reebok sale women's clothing

I love gifting active wear to my family because it encourages us to move throughout the winter season. These joggers ($22.50) and long sleeve graphic top ($14.98), are the perfect pair for the girl who loves to workout but isn’t too keen on doing it in the cold weather.

There’s something about the colder weather though that makes us want to stay inside and bundle up on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa and some cozy socks. The winter is also such a great time to catch up on your favorite Netflix shows, play board games, and bake warm goodies. When I saw these CABIN SOCKS, that is exactly what popped in my head! Socks for everyone!!! I mean come on, what’s Christmas without getting a pair of socks. 🙂

These were buy one, get one free on my recent trip to DICK’s Sporting Goods so it was a no brainer decision for me. They strategically put these by the check out too so you won’t forget to grab a pair or two or more. These will definitely be coming in handy on our trip to Minnesota.

How can you give back while shopping at DICK’S Sporting Goods?

DICK’S Sporting Goods believes that sports make people better. This holiday season DICK’S and DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation is giving vital funds to youth sports programs around the country. The impact of losing these sports programs can affect children and youth at a deeper level.

As a young girl I was very active and loved being part of a team. I was on the Track & Field team during middle school and then joined the rowing team at SDSU. Being in sports helped me learn to work with others, become physically active and aware of my body, and gave me a sense of purpose during the hustle and bustle of going to school.

DICK’S Sporting Goods launched the Green Shoelace movement for the holiday season and is giving $2 for every pair bought to under funded youth sports programs. Do you want to give more? You also have the option at check out to donate to the Sports Matter initiative#sportsmatter green shoelace movement

For many youth, sports are a chance to be a better version of themselves, to be a part of something bigger. Watch this inspiring video to see what DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation does and how they impact our communities.
