It’s the most wonderful time of the year!?To say “I’m excited for the holidays” is an understatement. I absolutely love the holiday season. From decorating to getting together with friends and family, I love it all.
I think I might have gotten my love for holiday entertaining from my grandma. My fondest memories as a child were of her setting up the house with decorations and tableware while singing along to Christmas jingles. Some days I feel like I’m becoming her, and I’m not mad about it.
On top of my grandma’s love for entertaining, she also loved coffee! Like really loved coffee lol. I remember her giving me my first cup of joe at 9 years old (some may say too young but I say why not sooner)?, and it was love at first sip! So, because of my love for entertaining, and my love for coffee, I wanted to show you guys how to create a holiday coffee bar for your own parties, gatherings, and holiday festivities.
HOW TO CREATE A HOLIDAY COFFEE BAR

No. 1 Coffee
Let’s cover the first essential: Coffee.
Choosing the right brew for your festivities is crucial. Not everyone has the same palette for coffee, so you’ll want to accommodate for a variety of tastes. I love 1850™ Brand Coffee. It’s a coffee for the wild at heart like myself, and my new-found love.
I’ve been drinking 1850™ Brand Coffee for about a year now, and I love it. For my coffee bar, I chose the Pioneer Blend and Lantern GlowTM K-Cup® pods. I chose the K-Cup® pods so my guests can choose the type of coffee they want. I would also recommend the Trailblazer blend.
No. 2 Cream
Another essential we can’t forget is creamer. My favorite go-to creamer is So Delicious® Dairy Free Coffee Creamer in the flavor French Vanilla. It is so darn good, you guys.
Why is it my favorite? Well, it’s a dairy-free alternative, which is great for guests who may have a dairy intolerance. It’s made with organic and Non-GMO Project Verified coconuts to give it a creamy delicious flavor. Your dairy tolerant guest will never know the difference ;).
You can get your coffee and creamer at Target, and save up to 20% with Cartwheel in the Target App. Target has a bunch of coffee and creamer Cartwheel coupons that you can use to save yourself some money (offers valid through 12/22/18).
No. 3 Flavors and Toppings
My coffee is always singing “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” and I have to listen. Flavors and toppings for your guests are nice to have because they might want to sprinkle some extra awesomeness on top of their cup of joe.
I really love having cinnamon and vanilla along with some cinnamon sticks for an infused experience. And don’t forget the marshmallows for that child at heart.
No. 4 Bites
You can’t serve coffee without some light bites. I love serving bite size food at gatherings. For a coffee bar, stick to breakfast style snacks like danishes, croissants, and coffee cake. You could even set up a little toast area with a variety of bagels and muffins with jams and jellies.
Of course I had to set up my bites on a vintage food stand that my grandma passed on to me. ?
No. 5 Little Touches
The little decorations and touches are what pulls everything together. Here are some things you can find at Target, my one-stop shop, obviously:
-
- Cute Mugs
-
- Display Trays
-
- Twinkle Lights and Cute Signs
- Holiday Decor in the Dollar Spot
I used a rustic wood display tray that I got a couple of months ago from Target and some cute mugs from the Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia dining collection.
And of course, you can’t go to Target without stopping to scope out the Dollar Spot. I found the cute little mint trees you see in the photos above and burlap wrapped twinkle lights. These are affordable options for decor because you don’t have to spend a ton to have a cute coffee bar.
I hope this post inspires you to create a little coffee bar of your own. Don’t forget that you can get everything you need from Target to help keep things simple and save time.
Get the Target App here to get your coupons to use on your shopping trip.
Happy Holidays!
