I’m a minimalist when it comes to wearing jewelry. I find myself drawn to simple pieces that are usually have a vintage or boho/native feel to them. You can always find me in studs, beaded jewelry, and turquoise but I wear the same pieces all the time. I don’t have a ton of money to spend on new jewelry so here’s how I plan on growing my jewelry collections on a budget.
Growing your Jewelry Collection on a Budget
ONE: Shop Sales
Two words, SHOP SALES! When you find something you like, pin it on a “Jewelry Wishlist” board (it can be secret). You can reference that board to check and see if it’s gone on sale or the price has lowered.
TWO: Subscribe to Rocksbox
What I love about Rocksbox is the “try before you buy” feature. They have designer pieces at affordable pricing. When you sign up you take a survey to let your stylist know what you’re looking for. You even get to create a wish list and those styles take priority above all.
They send you 3 pieces in each box and your not limited to 1 box a month. Once you’re done with your box just send it back a get refreshed. If you like something from the box that you received, you can keep it and you just pay the price on the card that comes with the box.
Did I mention you get $21 credit each month too? So yeah that $45 necklace you want, now only $24! How awesome is that. Oh and going back to tip ONE they have an exclusive sale section where jewelry is 50% too members!
So for my choices, all from my wish list, they were boho and vintage inspired of course.
I’m in looooooove with this Perry Street Tori Crystal Pendant Necklace. It is so classy and vintage looking. I’ve worn this piece about 4x this week. Should I use my credit to keep it? Decisions decisions! My second pick was these earrings also by Perry Street (I guess I’ve found my favorite designer haha). I paired it with the necklace and called it good to go. I love the design star design on them.
My third item that I got was this dainty boho styled choker. It’s so cute! It’s the Aster Iris Chocker in turquoise.
I love all the pieces I got but I know I can’t keep them all. Which one do you think I should keep?

THREE: Thrift Stores
Thrift stores are awesome! They key to finding quality jewelry at thrift stores are going to the nicer neighborhoods in town. Trust me on this! You can find some amazing jewelry for cheap. Even designer names. You just have to know the right places to look.
So whether you shop sales, sign up for Rocksbox, or browse your local thrift store, you are bound to find something that you will love and slowly start adding some fun and pretty jewelry to your collection.
This isn’t going to happen overnight but it’s a start and it’s how I’m starting to build my collection.
