Run for a cause this October!

About a month ago I introduced If Girls Ran the World  virtual run to ya’ll. Now we are counting down the days for this event and I’m so excited to make a difference in girls’ lives.

The goal of this month long run is to bring awareness to empowering girls globally and funding those charities that support that. I have chosen Girls, Inc. as my charity and I have a goal to raise $250 (DONATE HERE).

This virtual run goes from Oct 1-31 and I plan to run between 1-3 miles each day. This would put me over 50 miles in the month of October and that is what I’m setting my goal to. I’ve had some trouble with my achilles tendon but I plan to walk and run to rack up my miles.

Register now at If Girls Run the World to join in on the fun. I have also started a team so don’t forget to join that too.

Like I mentioned earlier, my goal is to raise $250. Whether you can donate $1 or $100, anything is appreciated. I want to do my part to help young girls for a better future. So thank you in advance for helping me reach this goal.

After registering, Oct. 1-31 it’s time to get movin’. Walk or Run, Skip or Jog. Every mile counts towards bringing awareness for empowering young girls. Track your miles through Strava or MapMyFitness and get social with other runners and walkers.

Are you ready to make a difference in a young girls life? Let’s do this! Virtually, anything is possible.

Note: I still have 1 registration up for grabs. Let me know in the comments if you would like it. 🙂

Yay! It’s great that you’re running for a cause. I’ll be doing the same with my family. We’ll be participating in the San Diego Fire Rescue 5k to help support the needs of our firefighters. If Girls Run the World sounds like a fun run. Enjoy!

I love that I can do this on my own! So that way I can be walking, but still making a difference 🙂
