Coffee is all I would have for my morning fuel yet I would still feel so tired. Why? Because I wasn’t giving my body what it needed, real food.
Soon I became tired of being tired and I decided to change my bad habit. Having breakfast not only gives me energy but really prepares me for the whole day. One of my favorite proteins to consume in the a.m. are eggs. Not just any eggs but Eggland’s Best eggs.
Eggland’s Best (EB) eggs are full of added nutrients. They have 10X more vitamin E, 25% less saturated fat, and 6X more vitamin D than ordinary eggs. Now that you’ve heard some of the perk to choosing Eggland’s Best eggs, let’s get to cooking them up in a yummy recipe.
Spicy EB Egg Breakfast Burrito
Adding spices and peppers to your morning meal can really help jumpstart your metabolism and increase satiety making you feel fuller faster. My favorite ingredients to add some spice are red pepper flakes and jalapeños. I use them in everything because they have so much flavor and spice.
This spicy EB egg breakfast burrito is the perfect morning meal. It is high in protein, nutrients, and has great flavor to it. You can prepare the burrito mix before hand for the week to save time. All you need is to warm up some whole wheat tortillas and you’ll have a delicious breakfast burrito.
Ingredients (Makes 2 Burritos)
- 4 Eggland’s Best eggs
- 1/2 cup scallions
- 1/3 cup cilantro
- 1 Habanero chopped
- 1 Jalapeño chopped
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
Directions
- Scramble eggs and add to skillet.
- Cook until about half way done then add all ingredients. Be sure to mix through evenly.
- Heat up a flour tortilla and add your egg mixture.
- Roll up and enjoy.
Making an effort to have breakfast in the morning can really change your mood and the way your day goes. Always put your health first and give your body what it needs.

I love a good grab and go breakfast and this one would certainly hit the mark. We often do overnight oats and smoothies for on the go breakfasts so it will be nice to add something to the rotation.
