June Income and Traffic Report
Hi friends! I can’t believe it’s July already. This year has been flying by so fast. I can hardly stay caught up with life. You probably noticed that I didn’t put out a May Income and Traffic Report. That’s because I had an epic fail with blogging that month and was completely checked out. My consistency was gone and my page views dropped significantly. I was going to write the report but by the time I had time to write it, it was already mid June. So here I am two months later to give you an updated view on how my blog has been doing and how it did in June.
This month I set some goals for myself that were achievable with the time I had. Instead of 2-3 post a week, I focused on just getting one up. Instead of causing myself to overwhelmed with getting multiple blog post up a week. After all blogging is supposed to fun for me, not stressful. I had to remind myself of this.
With that being said, I started to see my numbers grow this month. I lost almost 2,000 page views in the month of May because of my lack of engagement. But I’m back on track.
Here’s a look into Income and Traffic for June.
You can read April Income Report here.

SOCIAL MEDIA REFERRALS
SET REALISTIC GOALS FOR YOURSELF
I was able to boost my page views and finally hit my goal of 5000. With setting smaller more attainable goals for myself, I was more motivated and less stressed out. I posted at least one post a week and was engaged on social media. Setting realistic goals will help you feel like you accomplished what you set out for instead of beating yourself up and stressing out about goals that you didn’t reach. Even though I would like to post more a week, with school and work it’s just not achievable at this point in time.
PUT YOUR TIME AND ENERGY INTO YOUR TOP SOCIAL REFERRALS
Again Pinterest remains my #1 social media referral. I’ve noticed an increase in StumbleUpon which is nice to see. Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter still seem to be social channels that I need to work on but I put most of my energy into already top social media referral sites because I want to keep those growing. With extra time, I try to focus on those lower referral channels.

This is a great idea to keep track of your blog’s growth; I should probably start tracking mine too. Good luck with your goals this month!

I think dropping the amount of posts per week was a GREAT choice!! I post once a week and I know to some bloggers it seems low, but honestly I have been blogging for over a year and a half and have not gotten burnt out once. And I feel like my posts are really meaty, in depth and useful to the readers. I love one post a week, and look forward to it every week. Great job on setting your goals girl! This post was great 🙂

I think so too! I don’t feel as stressed out and I can take more time with my post. I believe in quality over quantity. It really helped with my stress levels this month. 🙂
You are killing it with the Instagram growth! What’s your secret?

I’m using a company to help me grow my brand right now. You really have to put a lot of time and effort and that is time I don’t have haha. So I can spend more time focusing on Pinterest and SU and still grow my Instagram. It’s called Koalike. I feel that it really helps you find people that are interested in your niche and are active IG users, not ghost followers. 🙂
Thanks for sharing! I need to get on this for my own recordkeeping as well. June was a great month for me and I would like to reflect upon it in the coming months. I definitely try to shoot for 1-2 posts a week, I think doing more than that is just too much for my schedule.
You’re doing great!

Thank you! I feel it holds me accountable and also allows me to see what worked for my blog and what didn’t. 🙂
It is so helpful seeing someone else’s stats. Not for comparison but to just get a look at the stats one should be checking. Lordy, last year I did not even know how to check Google! Great post!

And there is so much you can see through google analytics about your audience. 🙂 I’m glad this was helpful.

Thank you Amanda!
Way to go on that Instagram growth! My blog has been flatlining the past few months, but I’m excited for the rest of July and ton of new content to come.
June was a tough one with me as we were out traveling a ton.. so without frequent posting my numbers were down a bit. I am hoping July will be a big come back month for me. Thanks for sharing your stats. Its super helpful 🙂
Love it! Looks like you’re doing amazing! Keep up the good work! ????
You are getting so many referrals from pinterest – that’s so great! We all have crappy months where there’s no motivation, lowering your blogging schedule seems like the best choice. I aim for 2 a week and for me that seems to work, but I don’t stress out if I only do one post either. Blogging isn’t life!
